New guitars are sure getting expensive. Up for sale are 5 excellent electric guitars. Going from left to right in the pics, we have.....
1. Epiphone Les Paul in bourbon burst colour . Like new cond. Pickups are Probuckers. Sounds very nice and stays in tune. One of the pots is a push/pull to add a volume boost. If this guitar had Gibson on the headstock, it would be 3 grand. New Epiphones are well over a grand these days. This one is $750
2. Godin Session - black. Made in Canada. Looks good, plays good, sounds good, and stays in tune. Godin necks/fretboards are outstanding. These Session guitars are around $1300 new. This one is $675.
3. SOLD !!! Fender standard stratocaster. Made in Mexico I bought this from a guitar luthier a number of years ago. .He refinished it with a slight relic look. and did a great job. Pickups have been upgraded to 2x Fender Texas Specials, and a Dimarzzio Tone Zone at the bridge. These Mexican strats are probably the best bang for the buck nowadays. $725 for this one.
4. Fender Classic 50's stratocaster. Another mim beauty. Large headstock, old style headstock logo, 1 ply pickguard. Pickups upgraded to 2x Fender SCN'S (Samarium Cobalt Noiseless), and a Seymour Duncan 59 at the bridge. This is maybe the best mim strat I have owned over the years. These will only go up in value in the future. Almost new cond. These are around $1200 US$ plus shipping (sold ones) on Ebay.....if you can actually find one for sale. Fantastic instrument all around, and getting tough to find. $1400.
5. And finally, a Fender Lonestar strat. These were only made in the USA for 2 years in the mid 1990's. Production was then shifted to Mexico. They came stock with 2x Fender Texas Special pickups. and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates in the bridge position. Shows a bit of wear. Played quite a few gigs with this baby. Great playing and sounding instrument with lots of life left. I think its a pretty good deal at $1700. Includes original Fender hard shell case.
